Warner Music Group Acquires German Indie Distributor Zebralution Music
Warner Music Group has acquired German independent music distributor Zebralution Music from publishing technology firm Bookwire.
Warner Music Group (WMG) has announced the acquisition of Zebralution Music GmbH, an independent music distributor operating across Germany and Europe, from publishing technology provider Bookwire.
Zebralution Music was spun off from Zebralution GmbH, which Bookwire bought earlier this year. Following the transaction, Co-Founders and Co-CEOs Konrad von Löhneysen and Sascha Lazimbat will continue running the company, coordinating strategy with Niels Walboomers, President of Warner Music Central Europe.
The acquisition integrates WMG's distribution and financial technology suite, including tools from Revelator, which the major acquired earlier in 2026. Zebralution Music stated that existing operations and staff will remain in place, allowing partner independent labels to retain operational autonomy while accessing WMG's global infrastructure and analytics capabilities.
