Better terms for Amara artists 🎉

Amara is improving its terms for artists by reducing its own share and increasing the amount paid out to artists. Starting from October 2026, Amara's share drops to as low as 10.5% — applied from the Q4 2026 statement period onward.

Amara — our share drops to as low as 10.5%, from October 2026

We’re happy to share an important update: Amara is improving its terms for artists by reducing its own share and increasing the amount paid out to artists.

We have renegotiated and improved the distribution terms for our catalogue with our partners, and we have decided to pass that benefit directly on to our artists.

New rates — our share may drop to as low as 10.5%

Starting from October 2026, Amara’s share will be reduced and, depending on the artist’s agreement and revenue level, may be as low as 10.5%.

In simple terms, this means that from the same releases and the same streams, a larger share of the revenue will go to the artist.

The same catalogue, a bigger payout at the end of it

The new terms will apply to revenue generated from October 2026 onward, starting with the Q4 2026 statement period.

Revenue generated before October 2026 will continue to be calculated under the previous terms. Statements already issued will not be recalculated.

What is not changing

  • No additional fees. There are no signup fees, annual maintenance fees, or per-release fees.
  • Payouts continue as before. Payments in Armenia are made in AMD directly to the artist’s bank account, while international artists and partners are paid in EUR or USD, according to their agreement.
  • Statements remain transparent. Revenue data for each release, platform, and reporting period will continue to be clearly reflected in the statements.
  • Your rights remain yours. Nothing changes regarding the ownership of your recordings or rights.

What happens next

Updated agreements reflecting the new terms will be sent to our artists shortly.

We continue to work toward one simple goal: creating fairer, more transparent, and more beneficial conditions for our artists.

Your Apple Music artist page is now yours to design
