Misho

Misho (Mikayel Abrahamyan) was born on December 24, 1984, in Yerevan to a family of doctors and educators originally from Artsakh. He developed an interest in music during his teenage years, and it was the rhythms of rap that ultimately shaped his creative path. While still in school, he began writing his first lyrics, drawing inspiration from Western artists while striving to infuse his music with a distinctly Armenian character.

In 2009, he graduated from Yerevan State Medical University and earned his medical license. However, instead of pursuing a career in medicine, he chose the stage.

Misho was among the first artists to popularize hip-hop in Armenia. His songs stood out for their sincerity and socially conscious themes, addressing the challenges young people face, the search for identity, and the struggles of everyday life.

During the early years of his career, he performed as a member of Hay Team Production. It became an important platform for the development of Armenian rap, bringing together emerging artists and creating new musical projects.

Misho has also established himself as an actor, appearing in films and television productions.

Today, Misho is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of Armenian hip-hop. His work has served as a bridge between global musical trends and Armenian traditions. He demonstrated that rap could thrive in Armenian while preserving the genre's rhythm and energy, enriched by local themes, culture, and spirit.
